Privacy Policy

Written by the people who actually run the servers, in plain language, because a small network has no excuse for an opaque privacy policy.

Last updated: July 2026

1. Who we are

As our Terms & Conditions explain, Ponrai Mobile is a hobbyist telecommunications project, not a licensed public carrier, and the IBS Kingdom is a fictional setting. "We" in this policy means the individuals who operate the Ponrai servers. That makes this policy simpler and more honest than most: there is no marketing department, no advertising business, and no interest in your data beyond running the service you asked for.

2. What we collect, and why

When you request a number

The request form asks for your full name, email address and date of birth. We use these to review your request, contact you about activation, and keep a record of who each number belongs to. Be aware that submissions are delivered to the coordinators through a private Discord channel, meaning Discord Inc. processes the form contents in transit and storage, under its own privacy policy.

When you use your line

  • Registration data, the IP address and identifier of the device your line signs in from, needed to deliver your calls and messages to the right place.
  • Call records, who called whom, when, and for how long, as generated automatically by our telephony server. We use these only for troubleshooting and abuse investigation.
  • Voicemail, messages left for you are stored as audio on our server until you delete them.
  • Text messages, relayed through our server for delivery; we do not keep an archive of message contents.

When you watch Ponrai TV

Standard streaming-server logs: which stream link was used, from which IP address, and when. We use these to spot leaked links and capacity problems.

What we deliberately don't do

  • No advertising, tracking pixels or analytics scripts on this website. The fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address when they load; that is the website's only third-party request.
  • No listening to calls. Call audio passes through our server for routing but is not recorded (voicemail excepted, obviously, that's the point of voicemail).
  • No selling, renting or trading of anything to anyone.

3. Where your data lives

Service data (account records, call records, voicemail) lives on servers we administer ourselves. Number-request submissions additionally pass through Discord as described above, and email we exchange with you lives with our and your email providers. We keep the set of people with access to these systems small, in practice, the coordinators you deal with.

4. How long we keep it

  • Number requests, kept while your request or line is active; declined or abandoned requests are cleared out periodically.
  • Call records and streaming logs, kept for troubleshooting horizons, typically no more than a few months.
  • Voicemail, until you delete it or your line is closed.
  • Account records, until your line is closed and its number has cleared the reissue quarantine.

5. Your choices and rights

Email your coordinator to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have your line and data deleted. We will action deletion requests promptly, subject only to finishing the number-quarantine period before your number is reissued. Since we're a handful of hobbyists rather than a regulated data controller, we won't make you fill in a form, a plain email does it.

6. Security

Line passwords are generated per subscriber, registrations are authenticated, carrier-to-carrier trunks are authenticated, and admin interfaces are key-protected and not exposed publicly. That said, Section 8 and 9 of the Terms apply here too: this is an enthusiast-run system with an enthusiast-sized security team, and you should not route secrets through it that you wouldn't say on a hobbyist phone network.

7. Children

The service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly activate lines for anyone under 16. The request form asks for a date of birth partly for this reason.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and email active subscribers about anything material.

9. Contact

Privacy questions go to your coordinator, or through the request form with a note about what you're asking.
